Producer/singer Sheyman is now a new dad to a beautiful baby girl. The proud dad just shared the news that he and his wife, Cynthia Okonkwo-Ademoye,  are now parents and reading from his lines, you can tell he's quite delighted. He wrote:  "My Lord, I count my self lucky of your favour all the time, you allow me do things without stress, you guard my process of progress. You provide my happiness!!! To crown it all you gave us a precious jewel. Today, We share our joy with you as we welcome our first child into this world. Thank you Lord! The Ademoyes'"

Some young men believed to have been behind the assasination of the chairman of Ohafia LGA in Abia state, John Eke, were apprehended by youths in the community yesterday May 17th. The local government area has been embroiled in crisis over attempts by some Councillors to impeach Eke. The state house of assembly recently suspended three Councillors suspected to have been inciting crisis in the area. The suspected assassins are currently in police detention.

Livestreaming seems to have caused more harm than good because ever since it's inception, people now carry out fatal acts just to livestream it. In the case of the teenagers in this story, theirs did not seem intentional but someone is dead all the same. This sad incident happened in Argentina. Some teenagers were playing with a shotgun when one of them accidentally shot Georgina Magalí Vega, 12, an only daughter, killing her instantly.   It happened on Santa Rosa de Calchines - Santa Fe, a small town of about 9.300 inhabitants.  At the start of the video, voices can be heard speaking in a foreign language - maybe Spanish. Police in Marerng district of Korat, Thailand have found the mother of a baby found thrown in the trash outside some lodgings at an industrial estate on Tuesday, May 16th. She is a 17 year old student trainee at a factory in the Suranaree Industrial estate. The fetus believed to be about 7-8 months was found dead but fully formed and wrapped in a student's shirt. The mother said that she was unaware that she was pregnant. According to her, her friends started teasing her that she was getting fat and so two months ago she started taking slimming tablets. On Tuesday morning she had what she thought were stomach pains and went to the toilet. There she gave birth alone to the stillborn fetus. In a panic she said she wrapped her child - a girl - in a shirt and threw her in the rubbish bin outside her room. She is currently in hospital after suffering internal bleeding.  Police said they would wait until she recovers before interviewing her fur

News of the death of 42 year old actress, Moji Olaiya sent shock waves through the Nigerian movie industry this morning. LIB's visit to her Magodo-Isheri family house in Lagos revealed a very tense and sorrowful atmosphere with her colleagues and aged mum whom everyone around simply referred to as 'Alhaja' were all in disbelief and tears. Some of the actresses spotted include; Ronke Oshodi Oke, Doris Simeon, Bisi Ibidapo-Obe and others. Late Moji had just welcomed her baby girl in March 2017 before she died of cardiac arrest at a hospital in Canada last night.

Former Acting Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, Mr. Christopher Pamo Hobobo, was assassinated in the early hours of Wednesday, May 17th. Hobobo, a native of Agbere town in Sagbama Local Government Area of the state, was reportedly stabbed to death by assassins in his residence on PDP Road, Yenagoa, the state capital. Spokesman of the Bayelsa Police Command, Mr Asinim Butswat, who confirmed the incident  said Hobobo was found dead in his house at about 7 a.m. "Preliminary investigation revealed that he was stabbed on the chest with a sharp object. His corpse has been deposited at FMC Yenagoa for autopsy. Investigation is ongoing," Butswat said Eyewitnesses report that his gate was forced open by the assailants who met him in the sitting room where they allegedly stabbed him several times in the chest.

Friends and family couldn't hold back their tears at the memorial of 22 year old Karabo Mokoena who was allegedly murdered and burnt by her boyfriend in South Africa. The memorial held at Diepkloof Multipurpose Sports Centre in Soweto.   A  letter by Mokoena's mother, Lolo, was read out by her cousin during the memorial service. In the letter, she says her daughter will always remain in her heart. "You will always be in my heart, my angel. Rest in peace, my beautiful angel. I will never see you and spend time with you like we always used to go shopping together, it is sad that I won’t see you and spend time with you.” A friend of Karabo, Neo Mohlabane, while giving her tribute recalled what she said to her when she saw her the weekend before she was murdered. She told her;  "I'm living testimony that there's God. He tried to finish me." Karabo will be laid to rest later this week.
