Man beheads mother for raising alarm over attempt to rape daughter.

A 36-year-old man, Segun Odihiri has allegedly beheaded his 83-year-old mother, Maria Odihiri in Uzzeba, Owan West Local Government Area of Edo for raising alarm over his attempt to rape his own daughter. The incident was said to have occurred in the area yesterday even as residents of the town were said to have trooped to the scene of the gory incident to catch a glimpse of the lifeless body of the woman covered with her blood. An eyewitness, Mr Ekemeiren Ojekhugbo, told journalists that Odihiri killed his mother for alerting the public while he was raping his own daughter. Ojekhugbo said nemesis however caught up with the suspect while he was trying to dispose the body of his late mother adding that he had always threatened to kill her whenever there was a misunderstanding between them. N10m bribe: How Osinbajo was used against me – Bamiyi

Former Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lt. Gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi (retd), has dragged Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo into a bribery allegation in which the retired General accused him of having protected Justice Ade Alabi, who was accused of demanding a N10 million bribe from the accused persons standing trial before his court. Gen. Bamaiyi, in his book, “Vindication of A General,” alleged that Prof. Osinbajo and Justice Alabi, had been summoned to Abuja and given a directive to convict him and others within six months. He also alleged that Justice Alabi demanded a N10 million bribe from him to grant his bail application, which was pending before the judge.
