'You'll always be in my heart, my angel" Karabo Mokoena's mom pens down emotional tribute at her memorial

Friends and family couldn't hold back their tears at the memorial of 22 year old Karabo Mokoena who was allegedly murdered and burnt by her boyfriend in South Africa. The memorial held at Diepkloof Multipurpose Sports Centre in Soweto. 

A letter by Mokoena's mother, Lolo, was read out by her cousin during the memorial service.


In the letter, she says her daughter will always remain in her heart.

"You will always be in my heart, my angel. Rest in peace, my beautiful angel. I will never see you and spend time with you like we always used to go shopping together, it is sad that I won’t see you and spend time with you.”




A friend of Karabo, Neo Mohlabane, while giving her tribute recalled what she said to her when she saw her the weekend before she was murdered. She told her; 
"I'm living testimony that there's God. He tried to finish me."

Karabo will be laid to rest later this week.

Emmanuel Macron vows unity after winning French presidential election

The pro-EU centrist Emmanuel Macron has vowed to unite a divided and fractured France after winning a decisive victory over the far-right Front National candidate Marine Le Pen in the country’s presidential election. Macron, 39, a former economy minister who ran as a “neither left nor right” independent promising to shake up the French political system, took 66% to Le Pen’s 34%. His victory was hailed by his supporters as holding back a tide of populism after the Brexit vote and Donald Trump’s victory in the US election. The Bauchi State Police Command on Wednesday paraded suspected armed robbers arrested in various part of the state. Briefing newsmen at the Command Headquarters, the Commissioner of Police, Garba Baba Umar said that on May 10th, police detectives attached to Tafawa Balewa Housing Estate in collaboration with neighborhood watch at Madina quarters arrested members of an armed robbery gang.
