Jumia partners with Audrey Pack to fight against maternal & child infant mortality
The partnership is designed to support The Audrey Pack in the fight against maternal and child infant mortality in Nigeria. It will ensure that alongside providing pregnant and new mothers with relevant health information, mothers also receive a quick and easy way to access affordable nutrition and essential personal and childcare items.
The Audrey Pack distributes millions of free prenatal materials to mothers across Nigeria as well as antenatal materials to various healthcare professionals. Pregnant women and new mothers are encouraged to register in hospital to receive these materials for antenatal care and immunization. Jumia will also be kicking off the partnership with the first ever Jumia Baby Week.
The online Jumia Baby Week will run from May 2nd to 5th, 2017 and parents all over Nigeria can shop the best prices on all things babies from global brands like Pampers, Huggies, Moflix, Johnson, Aptamil and more.
Jumia is also launching the Breast Feeding Room on the Audrey Pack premises. Mothers who have registered with The Audrey Pack will have free access to the breast feeding room facilities on the go.
While commenting, the CEO of The Audrey Pack, Lilian Odim stated that, “I would like to see that in two years, there is a positive change in the statistics of maternal and child mortality in Nigeria. I want to be a part of that change. With the online opportunities offered by Jumia, we are also committed to supporting and promoting commerce among women affiliated with The Audrey Pack. They can take advantage of the relationship with our new partner, Jumia to join the platform to promote their business brands from the comfort of their homes.”
Jumia Nigeria CEO, Juliet Anammah commented that, “Jumia is proud to be associated with The Audrey Pack and its mission of promoting maternal and child health.
