Kaduna state Govt selling off non-essential residential quarters to cut maintenace costs

The Kaduna state Government has extended the sale of non-essential residential quarters to the 31st of May 2017. This is in order to cut costs expended on maintaining the quarters.

Borussia Dortmund football team bus hit by explosions

Three explosions have hit a bus carrying the Borussia Dortmund football team to their home Champions League quarter-final match against Monaco. In a press conference, the head of Dortmund police said it was a targeted attack on the team. Spain international Marc Bartra was taken to hospital with an injury to his hand. No other players were hurt. The first indications were that this was an "attack with serious explosives", Dortmund police said. The match was postponed until 18:45 local time (16:45 GMT) on Wednesday. Pictures from the scene showed the bus's windows broken and tyres burst in the blasts. The state prosecutor said that a letter found near the scene was being examined as part of the investigation. Bartra broke a bone in his wrist and had to undergo an operation. News of the death of 42 year old actress, Moji Olaiya sent shock waves through the Nigerian movie industry this morning. LIB's visit to her Magodo-Isheri family house in Lagos revealed a very tense and sorrowful atmosphere with her colleagues and aged mum whom everyone around simply referred to as 'Alhaja' were all in disbelief and tears. Some of the actresses spotted include; Ronke Oshodi Oke, Doris Simeon, Bisi Ibidapo-Obe and others. Late Moji had just welcomed her baby girl in March 2017 before she died of cardiac arrest at a hospital in Canada last night.
